Here are some photographs of my figural napkin rings with an Australian theme. Most are made in Australia, but some in England. There are also some kangaroo American figural napkin rings in teh category "animals, other"

This is a private collection display of figural napkin rings and toothpick holders, and some other figurals (such as card trays, and knife rests).
Most of these items were made in the USA from about 1860 to 1900. Some are available
FOR SALE/or SWAP.

As a collector I am not really interested in selling any figural napkin rings or toothpick holders that I only have one of (You can still ask though).
I am prepared to sell or swap any items I have more than one of. Swaps will be on the basis of comparable value.

Another 2 more figural napkin rings with the boomerrang theme which was quite popular as a support in a lot of napkin rings.
These rings are marked with a set square and a compass in a square , with EPNS and 23.

the boomerang plays a prominent part in Australian napkin rings. In this ring the boomerang are engaved and lie curved with the napkin ring. The ring and boomerangs sit on a map of Austalia with sits on 4 ball feet. It is marked EPNS. It is interesting that the staes are marked out and as per usual Tasmania is missing. The condition is near mint.




This napkin ring sits aloft a pedestal base decorated with leaves. Marked S witha  slash EPNS Made in Australia


Australian napkin ring on leaf base with emu, marked EPNS S&S (Stokes & Sons?)


A kangaroo stands on a base in the shape of Australia next to a napkin ring. Marked Best English Pewter. This is probably c 1940's, not sure.


This figual napkin ring has the napkin holder sitting on a footed base taking the shape of a map of Australia. marked EPNS, a leaf (or crown) and a Star, Made in England.


Another napkin ring with a kangaroo next to a napkin ring (this one is quite ornate), on a base the shape of Australia. This one has the states marked out, without Tasmania.

A matching pair of figural napkin rinsg with a kangarroo. The rings are nicely engraved, and the kangaroos are quite detailed.

Another 2 figural napkin rings with an emu and kangaroo, one with a boomerang above and the other with a boomerang and map of Australia.
Note the rings are different. Both marked EP NS S&S (Stokes & Son) Made in Australia, map one also has "Georgian" inscribed on it.
Both in near mint condition.

A Kiwi bird stands alongside a waisted napkin ring. In excellent condition overall.


This figural napkin ring is similar to the one above but the napkin holder is different. The hallmark is EPNS (script) and looks to be G.W. & S Ltd, which I think is George Wish and Sons, but I am not sure. It is c1910. 


This is a very rare figural napkin ring witha koala bearhunging a tree, all sitting on a leaf base. Marked EP A1 NS



This figural napkin ring has a kookaburra sitting on a tree stump which connects to the napkin holder. EP(symbol?)NS, Made in Australia.
A ring similar to this is shown in G&W page 83, plate 185, made by A.C. & Co. Their kookaburra seems to be a bit bigger and have its mouth open. 


This is another figural napkin ring with a koala sitting on top of a decorated napkin holder with instef is suported by 2 boomerangs. It is marked EPNS ?.P&M Co. S&S.
I would suggest that this figural napkin ring was made in England by ?.P&M Co. for S&S (Stokes & Sons, Australia)



Two lovely matching Australian figural napkin rings, one with an attached emu and one with an attached kangaroo.
Both are in excellent condition and marked EPNS S&S (stands for Stokes & Sons) Made in Australia.



This is an Australian figural napkin ring which has a lawn bowler about to bowl. It is marked Pheonix Plate EPNS Made in Australia.
It has the name E.H. Rudd on it (the same as one of our Prime Ministers).
It came form an elderly lady from the famous Rudd family who operated pubs in the Toowoomba area for many years.
It may have been given to E.H. Rudd as a prize perhaps. Any information welcome.

Seems to be cast in bronze, some silverplate loss, but in excellent condition, quite unique. Unmarked.
