figural napkin rings I have.
This is a private collection display of figural
napkin
rings and toothpick holders, and some other figurals (such as card
trays, and knife rests).
Most of these items were made in the USA from about 1860 to 1900. Some
are available FOR
SALE/or SWAP.
As a collector I am not really interested in selling any figural napkin
rings or toothpick holders that I only have one of (You can still ask
though).
I am prepared to sell or swap any items I have more than one of. Swaps
will be on the basis of comparable value.

This figural napkin ring has 2 cherubs swirling around
the napkin holder.arked Victor Silver Co 513. In excellent condition.
Two baby cherubs sit in cradles on either side of the
napkin hodler and support it.
Marked Aurora S.P. Co. Triple Plate #8. In excellent condition.
This figural napkin ring (with a bud vase) has 2
cherubs at either end of the napkin holder with their arms behind their
heads, surrounded and connected to each other by wreaths of flowers and
scrolls. It is featured in Victor schnadig's book on page 118. In
excellent condition. This figural napkin ring often has the connecting
scrolls at the bottom missing (not in this one though).

2 x kneeling cherub with napkin ring as body. One is
marked Meriden
222 (left side), but according to my references it should be 224.
I guess someone made mistake when itw as numbered. This does happen.
the other ring is marked 224 with a Rogers & Bro over-stamp/coin
over teh Meriden mark. The two rings above have slightly different
engravings along the outside of the ring. this is also quite common as
these were done by hand. Both in excellent condition. The one on the
left has a lovely dark patina. One available FOR

This would have to be one of the best cherub
napkin
rings I have seen. A LARGE cherub stands poignantly in front of a
raised napkin ring, with a tall bud vase behgind.
Excellent dark patina. Excellent very original condtion. A huge napkin
ring with extraordinary detail. marked as made by Wilcox Silvcreplate
Co. 01513

A cherub stands in front of a napkin ring with
has 2
heart-shaped objects on it.
The think they would have originally had 2 arrows going through them,
meeting at the top centre.
There is alos a small dog underneath the napkin riung that you cannort
see in the photographs.
The ring is marked to be made by reed & barton and is #1315.

In this figural napkin ring a cherub holding a
spear rides a dolphin
with the ring behind.
The fish may also be a chinese devil fish which the cherub is trying to
kill.
The ring is marked Rogers Smith and Co., New haven, Conn. 157. In
excellent condition with tranish.

This figural napkin ring has a larger cherub
riding the
same fish as in the ring above (dolphin or chinese devil fish).
The cherub also has a hold of the fish's tail.
The ring itself is patterned as in some kate Greenaway napkin rings,
but with a scolloped edge. Not marked as to maker and number.
A cherub sits on a napkin holder with reins to a very
large bird it is presumably riding.
This is a very rare and rather
large figural napkin ring. Marked Rockford 151.

One (last) has an overstamp coin reading Rogers Smith & Co. New
haven, but is also numbered 200.
It was also reproduced in the 1990s. These are however originals. Two are available FOR
SALE/or SWAP.

set 8 x walking winged cherub carrying a napkin ring on
his back on a decorated base, marked Barbour Silver Co. number 10.
Three of
the napkin rings have been professionally replated. This ring is
quite rare. Only one of
these has appeared in a USA auction house in the last 5 years and it
sold for $420 (includes premium) plus postage/courier. In the background you will also
see 2 matching toothpick holders, you can view under toothpick
holders. Here's a close-up shot of one of the cherub napkin rings
above. They are practically all in mint condition.

2 x A lovely napkin ring with a baby cherub sitting on
a
rock base next to a leaf with a flat beaded napkin ring behind.
Marked van Bergh Silver Plate Co. #74. In very good condition.

This figural napkin ring has a cherubleaning out from a
napkin holder on a highly decorated circular base decorated with
flowers and leaves.
Marked Wilcox 8206. In excellent condition.

A cherub artist is painting the napkin ring. Great

A lovely delicate cherub design figural napkin ring
wuth a small detailed cherub standing next to the napkin ring on a
leafy branch, with a very detailed butterfly on top of the napkin ring.
Marked Victor Silver Co, 514. In exceptional condition.


In this napkin ring, a female cherub-like figure (or
maybe just a nude lady) holds onto the bud vase while holding a mirror
in one hand.
The napkin ring has a beautiful cotton reel shape, all sitting in a
elevated and decorated circular base.
This ring is damaged. there is a hole in one of the rims of the napkin
ring, which is ususually made extraordinarily thin.

A cherub sits on an oval base next to a figural
napkin
ring decorated with ice hockey sticks and a puck. Marked as made by
Meriden B Company, number 645.

This is a fabulous large and heavy figural napkin ring
with a cherub (or maybe cupid) holding a bow and arrows, with an
ornate decorated napkin ring , all on a rectangualr base with a tiled
floor. Marked J.W. Tufts 2689. In exceptional condition

This is a nice figural napkin ring with a cherub
lyingon the floor on a circular ornate base. It is quite distorted. It
is marked Wilcox 3206.

A winged cherub holding arms out in front (with
leaf to
cover his privates) of a napkin ring. unmarked as far as I can tell.


2 x A cherub or baby sits on rock surrounded by a
decorated
scolling base, with the napkin ring behind him.
Unmarked as far as I
can tell.

This simple figural napkin ring has a small
cherub
standing in front of the ring. It is unmarked as to maker and number.

A cherub holds a brush in one hand and a top hat
(which
forms the napkin ring) in teh other. marked meriden Silverplate Co.
249. It looks to have been marked 260 initially and then stamped over.

A large cherubwearing a hat sits in front of a
band-edged napkin ring. marked pairpoint 52. With nice patina.

cherub had reins. one wheel needs repair. unmarked.
This would ahve to be one of the loveliest figural
napkin rings I have ever seen. It has a cherub perched on top of the
figural napkin ring playing a guitar underneath an arch, which acts as
a handle, with leaves flowing downwards on the sides to the ground.
Amazing design. It is marked 309. It has not appeared on the USA
auction scene in the last 6-7 years, for which records are available.
It is pictured in Schnadig's book but not in G&W.
This figural napkin ring has a small cherub sitting on
top of the napkin holder, with 2 relatively large chicks on either side
in the napkin holder. The ring is marked Osborn & Co. #711. There
is a very similar figural napkin ring with two dogs on either side in
the dog sextion that is also made by Osborn & Co., and both rings
also have the same decorated rectangular base.
