Here are some photographs of my figural napkin rings
with squirrels.
This is a private collection display of figural
napkin
rings and toothpick holders, and some other figurals (such as card
trays, and knife rests).
Most of these items were made in the USA from about 1860 to 1900. Some
are available FOR
SALE/or SWAP.
As a collector I am not really interested in selling any figural napkin
rings or toothpick holders that I only have one of (You can still ask
though).
I am prepared to sell or swap any items I have more than one of. Swaps
will be on the basis of comparable value.
ALL PRICES ON APPLICATION. You can contact me via the link below.
As a collector I am always interested in buying anything I do not
already have.

squirrel eating nuts next to a ring covered over with an oak leaf,
marked 85
A squirrel eating nuts next to a wavy shaped napkin
ring, marked Rockford
139.
This is a lovely figural napkin ring with a squirrel on
a rectangular base.
Marked Meriden B Company 194. In excellent condition, with a nice
patina.
lovely squirrel on base napkin ring, marked
Simpson
Hall Miller & Co. #60.
In very good to excellent condition; ring just needs to be rounded on
an anvil.
Two squirrels sit upright at either end of this figural
napkin ring, with the ring sitting on a pedestal. This ring is based on
the design of an earlier sterling silver napkin ring made by Gorham
(see sterling silver section). Marked Harford Silver Plate Co. # 01.
Must have been the first figural Hartford made.

squirrel eating nuts next to a wavy shaped unengraved napkin ring,
unmarked
The squirrel was a very popular figural in figural
napkin rings.
In this piece a large squirrel sits alongside a napkin holder
decorated/engraved with acorns and oak leaves.
Marked van Bergh SP Co. #3.

a squirrel eating nuts sits on top of a tapered
log-shaped napkin ring, decorated with leaves and nuts.
A squirrel sits on a branch which also forms the
base
for the napkin ring with a decorated edge.
I cannot find any markings on it, but it is definitely an oldie.
Condition is excellent.

A squirrel eating a nut/accorn next to pieced (this is quite unusual,
being pieced) napkin ring, marked Apollo
Silver Co. 133, who only made a few napkin rings in their short time of
existence.
This is a lovely figural napkin ring with an unusual
shaped napkin ring with a divided swirling pattern on either side of
the ring. The maker's name is not marked on this, as far as I can tell,
but I guarantee it is a genuine antique figural napkin ring. I cannot
find any reference to it from my books etc, so it must be quite rare.
The detail on the squirrel is as per usual superb.
I am not sure what this animal is. It looks like a
squirrel with the long ears, probably a rabbit, but has a bushy tail
like a squirrel.
I'm calling it a rabbit. It is marked 0259 under the animal.

A squirrel pulls along a napkin ring sitting on a branch with a leaf
and berry. In vg to excellent. I cannot see any maker's name or number.
Guaranteed Victorian though.
