Silverware

This is a fabulous large vintage silver-plated soup tureen with a ladel. The tureen is of heavy construction and probably dates to the early 1900s. It is also quite large....enough soup for the whole family. It is 21 cms high to the top of finial and has a diameter of about 26 cms. It is in very good condition for age, and would look superb polished up. The ladel is also a nice heavy one and measures about 30 cms long. It is in excellent condition. You won't see many of turins like this again.

A nice 'solid' silver plated vase, standing 21 cms tall. It would come up a real treat with a polish.

A lovely little silver-plated bachelor's teapot made by Paramount and K.C. Luke Pty. Ltd (Melbourne). The pot has seen some use and does have some dents on the underside in particular, but still very functional and full of character.

A superb Victorian silver-plated toast rack, with gothic influences. Absolutely stunning design,,,standing a tall 17.5 cms, 19.5 cms long. It is hallmarked as...1, (crown = Sheffield),(Ka & Wood, maker's name)Z (the year 1892).

A very large and very ornate Victorian galleried two-handle silver-plated serving tray, c 1900. The tray is enormous, measuring 62 cms long by 35.5 cms wide. the tray is haevy weighing a good 4 or 5 kilograms. Trays like this sell from $350 PLUS (up to $1000) on ebay plus postage. The tray has the inscription "Miss A. Ottaman & Mr D.S. Walton, the occasion of their marriage, from the members, Perth Wesley Church Choir, 8/1903"

The tray is hallmarked S D & Co, BP BM, plus some serial number. It is made of Britannia metal (BM) and silver plated. The tray is slightly bent out of shape because BM is soft compared to the usual copper under-metal. It can easily be bend back into shape. Our price is as is. If I straighten the tray (about 30 minutes work) and polish it, you can expect to pay much more than the asking price.
