Victorian silverplate biscuit barrel

A lovely and hard-to-find Victorian biscuit barrel,
beautifully
decorated with a galleried fixed bottom, claw feet, and a hinged lid.
It is in very good aged condition...has a dent (hardly noticeable)
along the bottom. Stands about 17 cms tall...the barrel has a diameter
of about 16 cms. It was made by the Atkin Brothers, who operated in
Sheffield from 1853. I would say teh biscuit barrel is c1890.

This is a superb Victorian silver-plated roll-top
entree dish or
servery. It is in very good aged condition...and is quite large...35
cms x 25 cms x 22 cms (high). It was made by Elkington & Co, who
operated in Birmingham during the period 1865 - 1897. It has a lovely
pieced tray inside and an ivory handle (a part of which is missing).

The details of the figural pedestal stand and the engravings inside the
bowl are amazing. Diamter 26 cms or 10 1/2 inches. Stamped underneath
one othe animal legs, Meriden B Company 1723. In excellent condition.
Would polish up well.
Been in storage for ages.
